The new Miss Abigail steps into performances June 1, but will not be announced until May 2. The new leading lady is described as "another acclaimed actress and American pop-culture icon." She will be joining Mauricio Perez (Altar Boyz), who plays her "sexy sidekick" Paco.

Written by Ken Davenport and Sarah Saltzbery, with direction by Davenport, the comedy is based on Abigail Grotke's popular book by the same name that promises "classic advice for contemporary dilemmas." According to press notes, "Miss Abigail is the most sought-after relationship expert to the stars - think Dr. Ruth meets Emily Post - and in Miss Abigail's Guide to Dating, Mating, and Marriage!, she and her sexy sidekick Paco travel the globe teaching her outrageously funny 'how-tos' on dating, mating and marriage."

A contest with clues for the casting of the new Miss Abigail will be held until the announcement is made. The first person to correctly guess the actress will win a VIP ticket package for two to see her first performance on June 1. All runners-up will receive an autographed poster from the new Miss A. The production that opened Oct. 24, 2010, features scenic design by Hilary Noxon, costume design by Abbi Stern and lighting design by Graham Kindred.

The Downstairs Cabaret Theatre at Sofia's is located at 221 West 46th Street next to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. For more information and tickets, visit www.MissAbigailsGuide.com.
