The world premiere of Domenica Feraud's Rinse, Repeat officially opens July 31 at the Signature Theatre Off-Broadway. With the actor-playwright starring in the leading role of Rachel, the new play, directed by Kate Hopkins, traces a young woman's struggles with an eating disorder.
Rinse, Repeat began performances July 16 in the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center.
The cast also features Florencia Lozano (One Life to Live) as Rachel's mother Joan, Jake Ryan Lozano (Mary Stuart) as Brody, Portia (Queen For a Day) as Brenda, and Michael Hayden (A View From The Bridge, When They See Us) as Peter.
In the play, Rachel comes home after four months spent fighting for her life. Though initially happy to be reunited with her family, she begins to question whether the place where she felt she most belonged is what almost killed her in the first place.
The production features set design by Brittany Vasta, costume design by Nicole Slaven, lighting design by Oona Curley, and sound design and original compositions by Ien DeNio. Casting is by Andrew Femenella.
