Dear Evan Hansen’s Taylor Trensch, Rachel Bay Jones, Laura Dreyfuss, Phoenix Best Sing ’God Bless America’

The cast of the Tony-winning Dear Evan Hansen performed Irving Berlin's “God Bless America” at curtain call on the eve of Berlin's 130th birthday to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the patriotic song.

Will Roland introduced the performance and was then joined by fellow cast members Taylor Trensch, Tony winner Rachel Bay Jones, Laura Dreyfuss, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Mike Faist, Phoenix Best, and Asa Somers.

Dear Evan Hansen musical supervisor Alex Lacamoire orchestrated and arranged the song as a tribute to Berlin.

Dear Evan Hansen plays the Music Box Theatre, which was built by Berlin and business partner Sam H. Harris and opened in 1921 to house his famed Music Box Revues. The Shubert Organization currently owns and operates the Music Box.
