The Broadway staging of Dear Evan Hansen will launch a digital lottery beginning December 7, producer Stacey Mindich has announced. The lottery program will allow theatregoers the chance to purchase specially-priced tickets to see the acclaimed new musical from Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Steven Levenson.
Users can enter the lottery at DearEvanHansenLottery.com. Limit two tickets per customer, for $40 each.
Participants may enter once a day for the desired performance, and up to twice on two-show days, for which entries will be accepted for both matinee and evening performances. The digital lottery will not be available for Saturday matinee or evening performances, and excludes all performances from December 23–December 30.
The new musical, about one student's struggle for identity amidst the chaos of high school, began performances on Broadway November 14 following an acclaimed, sold-out run Off-Broadway earlier this year. Dear Evan Hansen officially opened at the Music Box Theatre December 4.
