News D'Abruzzo to Take Part in Austentatious For New York Musical Theatre Festival Stephanie D'Abruzzo, who received a Tony nomination for her work in Avenue Q, will take part in the upcoming presentation of Austentatious as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Austentatious will be presented in NYMF's Next Link Series, which features 18 productions selected from an open submission process. The judges for this year's festival include actress Victoria Clark, actor BD Wong, librettist Rachel Sheinkin, producers Margo Lion and Adam Epstein and two-time Tony nominee Casey Nicholaw.

A previous sold-out hit at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival in 2006, Austentatious, according to production notes, "follows a community theatre group as they attempt to stage a new adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice'… Think 'Waiting for Guffman' meets A Chorus Line. From chaotic auditions to a climactic tap off, bad theatre has never been so good!"

D'Abruzzo will be joined by Lisa Asher, Stephen Bel Davies, Amy Goldberger, George Merrick, Stacey Sargeant and Paul Wyatt.

Matt Board and Joe Slabe composed the Austentatious score and share co-writing credit with Jane Caplow, Kate Galvin and Luisa Hinchliff. Mary Catherine Burke will direct with choreography by Rhonda Miller.

The creative team also includes Matt Castle (music director), Jeff Croiter (lighting designer) and Jesse Poleshuck (scenic designer). Austentatious will play the New York Musical Theatre Festival Sept. 18–29 at the Julia Miles Theater, located at 424 W. 55th Street in Manhattan.
