The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is paying tribute to the 29th annual Fleet Week with activities, themed events, performances, and live demonstrations over the Memorial Day weekend that celebrate the armed forces.
One of the events on May 27 is a “Broadway Showcase” beginning at noon on Pier 86, featuring performances by the casts of Cats, Kinky Boots, The Great Comet, School of Rock, Ernest Shackleton Loves Me, and The Imbible: A Spirited History of Drinking. The showcase will be emceed by the cast of The Play That Goes Wrong.
The May 27 celebration, which begins at 10 AM and continues until 6 PM, will also include live performances by the Voices of Service, American Military Spouses Choir, Saved by the 90’s, and Madison Rising: Veterans Rock Band—all on the Pier 86 stage.
The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is located at 46th Street and 12th Avenue. The events are free and open to the public.
