The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene will perform its annual Soul to Soul concert celebration of gospel and Yiddish music January 20 at 2 PM. The concert will take place at the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memoir.
Presented during Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Weekend, the narrative concert incorporates songs in English and Yiddish with multimedia imagery to trace the history of African American and Jewish people in America during the Civil Rights Era.

Soul to Soul will feature Lisa Fishman (The Golden Bride), Magda Fishman (Cantor of Temple Beth El of Stamford, Connecticut), Elmore James (Beauty and the Beast), Tony Perry (Five Guys Named Moe), Dmitri Zisl Slepovitch, Taylor Bergren-Chrisman, and Matt Temkin.
Susannah Heshcel, president of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College, will introduce the afternoon that will include a post-performance talkback.
