In addition to sneak peeks of upcoming Broadway shows and panel events about your favorite hits, BroadwayCon is planning a live music celebration that will showcase Broadway performers who also have their own music groups, and more.
Set to perform at BroadwayCon 2017 are the following groups:
Tony Award winner Michael Cerveris and his band, Loose Cattle
LAKES, a grunge pop band comprising Libby Winters, Tony Award winner John Gallagher Jr., and Lorenzo Wolf
Teen Commandments, a synth pop band featuring Spring Awakening’s Van Hughes, Brett Moses, Nick LaGrasta, and Hampus Öhman-Frölund
The Doo Wop Project, an a cappella group featuring current and former stars of Broadway’s smash hits Jersey Boys and Motown: The Musical
A performance from musical theatre composer and Smash writer Joe Iconis
Singer/songwriters Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening original cast) and Kathryn Gallagher (Spring Awakening revival cast)
Also planned:
Don't Quit Your Night Job, Broadway’s late-night comedy/variety extravaganza, created and hosted by writer/performers Steve Rosen, David Rossmer, Sarah Saltzberg, and music director Dan Lipton.
BroadwayCon, which is co-presented by Playbill, Mischief Management, and Anthony Rapp, offers theatre fans a one-of-a-kind array of panels, performances, one-on-one star moments, seminars, autograph and photo sessions, a booming marketplace, and other activities.
