The Gods of Comedy, the latest work from Tony-nominated Lend Me a Tenor and Crazy for You writer Ken Ludwig, is set to premiere March 12 at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey.

Two-time Tony nominee Brad Oscar (The Producers, Something Rotten!) will play Dionysus in a cast that also features Shay Vawn as Daphne and Javon McFerrin as Ralph, two young classics professors who inadvertently conjure the ancient gods of comedy during a personal crisis. They will be joined by Jessie Cannizzaro, Steffanie Leigh, Keira Naughton, and George Psomas.

Amanda Dehnert takes over for the previously announced Kathleen Marshall as director of the world premiere that will also play the Old Globe in San Diego later this year.
