After his performance, he spoke with co-hosts Kelly Ripa an Ryan Seacrest to explain the unconventional journey of the musical from Two River Theater in New Jersey to Broadway. “We ran for four weeks and then silence. And then we did a cast album. Silence. And then the internet found this album on YouTube and Spotify and Tumblr and shared it with each other,” he explained, “and we watched all of our social media numbers skyrocket and at this point the cast album has been streamed 300 million times.”
The production marks Ng's London debut, fresh on the heels of their winning the Fred Ebb Award.
