While official results won’t be revealed until September 2, Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway was 6,000 in combined sales ahead of its closest competitor, according to the Official Albums Midweek Chart Update, which was tallied August 30. Coming in at #2 is Glory, the latest album from pop entertainer Britney Spears. See the full list of midweek results here.
The midweek numbers are compiled by the Official Charts Company, based on sales of CDs, downloads, vinyl and other formats from August 26-30. The full week of sales through September 1 will be announced the afternoon of September 2.
Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway, which marks Streisand’s 35th studio album, features duets of Broadway tunes with Hollywood stars, including Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin, Anne Hathaway, Melissa McCarthy, Seth MacFarlane, Patrick Wilson, Jamie Foxx and more.
