The Signature Theatre's revival of Boesman and Lena by legacy playwright Athol Fugard will play an additional week. Following an official opening on February 25, the production will now continue through March 24.

Directed by Yaël Farber, Fugard's 1969 play follows a husband and wife as they they wander the South African wastelands. The cast is made of Sahr Ngaujah (Broadway's upcoming Moulin Rouge!), Zainab Jah (Eclipsed, Signature’s Venus), and Thomas Silcott (Luke Cage).

Boesman and Lena began performances in the Signature's Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center February 5. It was originally scheduled through March 17.

The creative team includes scenic and costume designer Susan Hilferty, lighting designer Amith Chandrashaker, sound designer Matt Hubbs, fight director UnkleDave’s Fight-House, and dialect coach Barbara Rubin. The production stage manager is Cherie B. Tay, and casting is by Caparelliotis Casting.
