Audible has added a two-night run of Alan Cumming's cabaret act, Legal Immigrant, to its spring slate at the Minetta Lane Theatre (Audible's home for live performance in New York City). As with all Audible productions, following the two performances, Legal Immigrant will join the platform's ever-expanding catalog of audiobooks, radio dramas, and spoken-word entertainment.

Cumming will perform Legal Immigrant April 12 and 13 at 8 PM. Tickets are on sale to Audible members now and will be available to the general public March 23.

"I’m excited that the form of cabaret is being added to Audible’s theatre roster, and honored that my cabaret show is the first," says Cumming. "I’ve always loved working for Audible, and it’s great to be collaborating with them in this new way.”

In Legal Immigrant, seen at the Cafe Carlyle last year, Scottish-born stage and screen actor Cumming muses on growing older, his experiences as a U.S. citizen, and what it feels like to be an immigrant in today’s America. The show features an eclectic collection of songs, including covers of tracks by Pink, Adele, and the Disney Princesses.

Cumming won the Tony and Drama Desk Awards in 1998 for his performances as the Emcee in Broadway’s Cabaret—which also marked his Broadway debut. He also appeared on Broadway in Design For Living, The Threepenny Opera, and Macbeth before reprising his role in Cabaret in 2014 at Studio 54.

He is currently starring in the world premiere of Jeremy O. Harris' "Daddy" Off-Broadway. Check out photos from the production below.
