Tony Award nominee Adam Pascal (Rent, Something Rotten!) will join the Broadway production of Pretty Woman: The Musical in the role of Edward Lewis. Pascal will step into Ed's shoes January 15–20, 2019, during leading man Andy Karl's time off.
“I always love a reason to come back to Broadway, so singing this score opposite Samantha Barks, in this sexy, romantic musical for eight performances was a no-brainer,” says Pascal.
Pretty Woman: The Musical has been playing at the Nederlander Theatre on Broadway since July 20. Directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, the contemporary stage adaptation stars Samantha Barks as Vivian.
Based on the Julia Roberts-Richard Gere movie about a star-crossed meeting between a sex worker and a disillusioned businessman, the musical features a book co-written by the film’s director, the late Garry Marshall, and screenwriter J.F. Lawton, and music by Grammy winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.
