Classic Stage Company celebrated the opening night of The Dance of Death and Mies Julie Off-Broadway February 10. The repertory staging of August Strindberg’s plays are scheduled to run through March 10.
Tony winner Victoria Clark directs The Dance of Death in a new version by Conor McPherson, while Shariffa Ali directs Mies Julie, Yaël Farber’s South Africa-set, contemporary adaptation of Strindberg’s Miss Julie.
The Dance of Death features Cassie Beck, Richard Topol, and Christopher Innvar; Mies Julie features Elise Kibler, James Udom, Patrice Johnson Chevannes, and Vinie Burrows.
