The Lincoln Center Corporate Fund Media and Entertainment Council held A Night of Country Under City Lights, a concert of country music featuring stars from Broadway and beyond, May 31. The event honored three-time Grammy winner and Sugarland lead singer Jennifer Nettles with the Artist Impact Award for her entertainment career and commitment to philanthropy, focused on work with the 4-H organization and the Human Rights Campaign.
Nettles was joined by Tony nominee Megan Hilty and Tony winner Jessie Mueller; the two will soon co-star as country singers Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn in the upcoming Lifetime biopic Patsy & Loretta. Also performing were Tony-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, Michael McElroy and the Broadway Inspiration Voices (this year's recipient of the Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre) singer-songwriter Cam, and Tony and Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles.
