Georgina Escobar's Then They Forgot About the Rest continues its Off-Broadway run at INTAR Theatre, where it officially opened April 22. Directed by David Mendizabal, the new play takes place in a post-wisdom, future American Southwest.

In Then They Forgot About the Rest, two sisters coping with a recent trauma sign up to receive information about a soon-to-be-released new drug called "Alleviate." Meanwhile, at an ad agency, the advertisers are about to accept a new brief on the "forgetting pill." These two stories intertwine in a tale about the physical impact of memory, the company we keep, and the thing worth forgetting.

Then They Forgot About the Rest is presented by INTAR and Radio Drama Network.

The cast is made up of Danielle Alonzo, Maki Borden, Mindy Escobar-Leanse, Renata Friedman, Jacqueline Guillén, Gabriel Marin, and Elizabeth Ramos.

Escobar's plays include Sweep (Aurora Theatre, Lincoln Center Directors Lab), B.I. (Milagro, Steppenwolf's The Mix), and Penny Pinball Presents the Beacons (INTAR, 50 PP).
