Georgina Escobar's Then They Forgot About the Rest continues its Off-Broadway run at INTAR Theatre, where it officially opened April 22. Directed by David Mendizabal, the new play takes place in a post-wisdom, future American Southwest.
In Then They Forgot About the Rest, two sisters coping with a recent trauma sign up to receive information about a soon-to-be-released new drug called "Alleviate." Meanwhile, at an ad agency, the advertisers are about to accept a new brief on the "forgetting pill." These two stories intertwine in a tale about the physical impact of memory, the company we keep, and the thing worth forgetting.
