The world premiere of Jordan E. Cooper’s Ain’t No Mo’ will open at The Public Theater March 27 after beginning preview performances March 12. The new play, through a series of vignettes, is a vibrant satirical odyssey portraying the great exodus of Black Americans out of a country plagued with injustice.
Ain’t No Mo’ is helmed by director Stevie Walker-Webb and stars Cooper in the role of Peaches. Rounding out the cast are Marchánt Davis, Fedna Jacquet, Crystal Lucas-Perry, Ebony Marshall-Oliver, and Simone Recasner. Hermon Whaley Jr. is the standby for Peaches and performs Sunday matinees.
