In October 2015, The Rockefeller Foundation announced that it pledged $1.46 million to pay for 20,000 11th graders from the New York City area to see a performance of Hamilton: An American Musical.
Dubbed #EduHam, over 1,300 students attended today's matinee, where they not only saw a complete performance, but performed their own raps integrating themes they learned in their American history classes.
