Rebecca Naomi Jones and Enver Gjokaj star in Rinne Groff’s new play at the Public Theater Off-Broadway, Fire in Dreamland. Set in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy and inspired by the 1911 fire that burned down Coney Island’s Dreamland amusement park, the play begins on the Coney Island Boardwalk to tell a story about taking risks, falling in love, and our potential to create in the face of devastation.

Performances of Fire in Dreamland began June 19 and are scheduled through August 5 in The Public’s Anspacher Theater. Marissa Wolf directs and Kyle Beltran completes the cast.
