Jeremy Jordan, Kara Lindsay, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Ben Fankhauser, John Dosset and the cast of Disney's Newsies joined Playbill to celebrate their opening night on Broadway, March 29. Despite the successful run of the Alan Menken (music), Jack Feldman (lyrics), and Harvey Fierstein (book) musical at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse, no one suspected (although many hoped) a Broadway transfer was a possibility. But, fueled by the explosive high-energy Christopher Gattelli choreography, Broadway came a-calling. The show was extended through Aug. 19 even before previews were completed, showing that fans of the 1992 cult film are chomping at the bit to see the stage adaptation.
