Tony-winning composer and original star of In The Heights, Lin-Manuel Miranda, kicked off the 14th season of Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series on January 11 with his rendition of Jay-Z’s love letter to New York “Empire State of Mind,” sprinkled with some “Another Hundred People,” from Stephen Sondheim’s Company. Miranda was joined onstage by former Heights co-star Mandy Gonzalez.
