Learn the The Sound of Music's "Do-Re-Mi" Solfege Hand Signals

In the new touring production of The Sound of Music, the "Do-Re-Mi" choreography uses Solfege Hand Signals, a system created in order to teach music without using sheet music. Used by educators for over 150 years, the system assigns a syllable to each note of a scale. Scales and note sequences are practiced by singing these syllables. Here, Kerstin Anderson, Ben Davis, fellow cast members and more demonstrate their skill (or lack thereof!) at using the hand signals. See a preview of the show.
