Although he's a three-time Tony Award nominee (The Apple Tree, Jake's Women and Glengarry Glen Ross), actor Alan Alda is better known for his film and television work. And he's not known for being a playwright — until now. The longtime science buff is seeing his first fully produced work, Radiance: The Passion of Marie Curie, at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. In the biography set in the male-dominated world of physics and chemistry, Anna Gunn ("Breaking Bad") stars as Marie Curie, the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and the first person to win two.
