With a score by U2's Bono and The Edge and original direction by Tony winner Julie Taymor, the newly revised Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark finally gets its official Broadway opening on June 14. When teen science nerd Peter Parker (Reeve Carney) is bitten by a mutant spider, he gains its powers, leading to high-flying web-slinging above the heads of the audience at the Foxwoods Theater. While falling in love with girl-next-door Mary Jane Watson (Jennifer Damiano), Spidey must save New York from the clutches of the twisted and evil Green Goblin (Patrick Page). Philip Wm. McKinley (The Boy From Oz) is the musical's new creative consultant.
