A new play from
Signature Theatre Company's Residency Five playwright
Regina Taylor,
stop. reset. poses questions about legacy, identity and survival in a world where the real and the virtual are becoming increasingly entwined. When Alex Ames (played by Carl Lumbly), the owner of Chicago’s oldest African American book publishing company, meets J (Ismael Cruz Cordova), a mysterious youth seemingly "plugged in" to the future, Ames questions each of his employees to determine which of them is still relevant in the rapidly changing world.
