Based on the 1982 Barry Levinson film of the same name, Diner is set in 1950s Baltimore and finds a circle of friends confronting the realities of adult life. Music and lyrics are by pop songstress Sheryl Crow and book is by Levinson. Kathleen Marshall directs and choreographs. The cast features Whitney Bashor, Bryan Fenkart, Aaron C. Finley, Josh Grisetti, Erika Henningsen, Derek Klena, Adam Kantor, Tess Soltau, Matthew James Thomas, and John Schiappa.
