Nominated for three 2009 Tony Awards — including Best Play — Neil Labute's Reasons to Be Pretty confronts the American obsession with physical perfection. The new Geffen Playhouse production features Nick Gehlfuss ("Shameless," "The Newsroom"), Shawn Hatosy ("Southland," "Reckless"), Amber Tamblyn ("Joan of Arcadia," "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants") and Alicia Witt ("Justified," "88 Minutes") as a tight-knit group of friends who come to blows over an off-handed remark about an attractive co-worker. Artistic director Randall Arney directs.
