La Jolla Playhouse is situated on the University of California San Diego Campus, just minutes from I-5. Performances take place in three theatres, each within view and a short walk from each other.
The Mandell Weiss Theatre, the largest of the theatres, has a proscenium stage, with 480 seats.
The Mandell Weiss Forum has a thrust stage and seats 380.
The Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre is a black-box theatre with seating that accommodates thrust, L, or in-the-round staging. Opened in February, 2005, it is located in the new Joan and Irwin Jacobs Center for La Jolla Playhouse.
