Stage Left is seeking a Workshop Lead Facilitator to help shape and lead a small arts-based workshop series for performers and early-career creatives. This position will offer a $300 stipend. Project Description Stage Left is a small, arts-based workshop series for performers and early-career creatives. The focus is helping participants balance three identities: their social media self, their on-stage self, and their everyday self. Social media is often necessary for performers, but it can blur boundaries and increase pressure to “perform” online. This workshop is not about quitting social media or offering one perfect solution. Instead, participants leave with practical tools and boundaries for using social media with more alignment, choice, and sustainability.
This is a community workshop and not therapy. No diagnosis or clinical treatment will be provided. Sharing is always optional, and the space will be supported through clear group agreements, consent, and opt-out practices.
Expected Timeline
This role begins with a short planning period in late March, including coordination online with the producer to finalize session structure, group agreements, and facilitation approach. The facilitator will lead a soft launch on April 4, followed by minor adjustments, and then facilitate the full workshop series on April 10–12.Both the Soft Launch and the workshop series will take place in person in Downtown Manhattan.
 
 Facilitator responsibilities:
-Lead the room and hold a safe, structured group space
-Open/close each session with check-in/check-out and basic grounding
-Establish and uphold group agreements (confidentiality norms, respect, no-pressure sharing, opt-out)
-Guide workshop activities (reflection, short writing, optional movement/voice, small-group discussion)
-Keep time and flow, and support participant choice (no forced disclosure)
-Coordination with the producer to finalize protocol language and session structure before the series
Requirements
-Experience facilitating workshops, teaching artist programs, peer groups, or community circles
-Strong ability to hold boundaries and create an inclusive, non-judgmental environment
-Comfortable working with performers/creatives (any discipline welcome)
-Must be available for April 4 and April 10–12
-Trauma-informed and consent-based facilitation experience is a plus.
