Peterborough Players 2026 Summer Season

Peterborough Players is a 93-year-old summer stock theatre in Peterborough, New Hampshire. The Players operate on a CORST (zz) contract with Actor’s Equity Association, the Society of Directors and Choreographers and United Scenic Artists, producing a five-play summer season in 13 weeks (two weeks rehearsal, two weeks performance.)

Mission: Peterborough Players enriches the human experience by producing quality live professional theatre, developing and training theatre artists, and offering New Hampshire a wide variety of performing arts events.

The 2026 season will include four plays and one musical. Production staff will be engaged for a 13-week period May 25 through August 23. Shop heads start around May 21. Dates may be negotiable based on position. Some staff members may be engaged to stay on to assist with the season closing/strike with additional compensation. All production departments have professional leadership and work with a group of Core Company younger artists with varying skill levels. Housing provided.

Scenic Charge Artist - $600/week

Sound Designer – $3,300 per show (USA union scale)

Wig Designer - $2,000 per show

Wardrobe Supervisor - $500/week

House Manager - $540/week

Core Company - $400/week

Core Company

Core Company are sought in all Tech/Production and Administrative areas. Those with specific interests and abilities will be assigned primarily to those areas, only temporarily moving to another area if needed. Core Company are also responsible for daily maintenance /clean-up of the theatre at the end of each day’s shift.
