Job Overview:
TheaterWorksUSA (TWUSA) is seeking applicants for Touring Cargo Van Driver positions. Join our vibrant touring theater company as our Touring Cargo Van Driver! You'll be a crucial part of the team, helping bring theater to audiences nationwide. If you love road trips, teamwork, and being part of something creative, this could be the adventure for you.
Dates: o/a January 16th, 2026 – o/a June 8th, 2026
The seasonal full-time (salaried/non-exempt) position has a weekly pay rate of $600 per week. Housing is provided in hotels while the tour is away from New York City and a weekly total per diem of $70 when in single occupancy housing.

Responsibilities:
Safely drive and operate a Ram ProMaster Cargo Van (144-inch wheelbase extended back), transporting equipment and passenger to venues, hotels, and rest stops as per the provided touring itinerary.
Follow the Stage Manager's daily schedule, including designated rest and meal breaks, while maintaining communication with the Stage Manager and other vehicles throughout the drives.
Obey all traffic laws, including speed limits, traffic signals, and local regulations.
Oversee vehicle maintenance for both touring vehicles: a Ram ProMaster Cargo Van and a 7-passenger minivan (Chrysler Pacifica or similar). This includes scheduling regular maintenance and handling as-needed repairs with local repair shops.
Keep the vehicles fueled, clean, and prepared for each leg of the journey.
Ensure that all reportable incidents are notified to the Stage Manager and that information required for insurance claims is provided accurately and promptly.
Keep receipts from corporate credit card spends and submit via online portal.
Arrive promptly and as agreed with the stage manager at venues.
Requirements:
A valid US driver’s license. (required)
Applicants must be based in the New York City metro area with access to local housing. Housing is not provided during local runout dates when the tour returns to the NYC area.
A clean driving record (background check, including driving record, is required).
Availability to travel across the country.
Prior experience driving larger vehicles like cargo vans or minivans (required)
An interest in theater or the performing arts (plus).
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
A passion for travel and adaptability to life on the road.
