ROCK OF AGES is a high-octane, nostalgia-packed musical that guarantees a thrilling and hilarious ride filled with iconic 80’s radio hits, larger-than-life characters, and non-stop energy. Set on L.A.’s iconic Sunset Strip, this electrifying musical follows the story of a small-town girl, a big-city dreamer, and their fight to save the legendary rock club they love. Male lead, 20s, baritenor. A young, hopeful rocker with big dreams of becoming a rock star. Kind-hearted, earnest, and slightly naive.

Vocal Range: Tenor/Baritenor (A2 to Bb4). Needs strong rock vocals with a touch of vulnerability.

Sherrie: SEEKING COVER

Female lead, 20s, mezzo-soprano. A small-town girl with dreams of making it big as an actress. Innocent and optimistic but with a strong backbone.

Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano (G3 to F5). Needs both delicate and powerful vocals.

Stacee Jaxx:

Male, late 20s to 40s, rock tenor/baritenor. A self-absorbed, egotistical rock star. Charismatic and larger-than-life but ultimately flawed and narcissistic.

Vocal Range: Rock Tenor (C3 to B4). Must have a commanding, rock-star presence.

Lonny Barnett: SEEKING COVER

Male, late 20s to 40s, tenor. The show’s comedic narrator. Funny, charming, and slightly raunchy. Lonny needs strong comedic timing and a rock voice.

Vocal Range: Tenor (D3 to B4). Should have a versatile, rock voice for comedic and narrative moments.

Hertz Klinemann:

• Male, 30s to 50s, rock baritone. A German real estate developer looking to tear down The Bourbon Room. Stern, humorless, but with a comedic undertone.

Female, 30s to 50s, alto. The owner of the Venus Club, where Sherrie works. A confident, maternal figure with a soulful voice.
