DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Lighting Designer for the production of “Pandimia: Act of Gods” by Jason Abrams that will premiere at the Midtown International Theatre Festival, taking place from July 6th to August 2nd 2026. We are also submitting ourselves to another festival, and if approved would take place in June 2026. This will be a position that will include:

- Working on a new play for a prestigious festival.

- Providing detailed notes on rehearsals, including stage direction and technical notes.

- Helping to create lighting and sound notes/cues for the performances.

- Attending production meetings throughout March, April, and May of 2026 leading up to rehearsals.

- Attending in person rehearsals in May and/or June 2026 TBD (Due to potential second festival taking place in June 2026).

- Be available in person for several performances during the festival in July, and a potential festival in June 2026.

- Running the backstage of the performance with the Director.

- Potentially running a projector during the production as the play requires use of a projector.

Applicants will be/have:

- Enthusiastic and hardworking.

- Have extreme attention to detail in their work.

- Bring a positive, collaborative attitude to the production.

- Ability to creatively problem solve during the production of a new play.

- An available, flexible schedule for May-July 2026 depending on dates assigned by the festivals.

- Experience with CueLab or Projector use is additive but not necessary.
