DESCRIPTION

Lucky Duck Puppets is a family entertainment company specializing in high energy, interactive puppet shows at family events such as schools, camps, libraries, and birthday parties.

We are seeking energetic, reliable performers with cars to train this spring and start performing shows on a freelance basis this Summer Season and beyond.

-Must have experience working in children's theater/ family entertainment and/or working directly with kids in some capacity

-Puppetry experience preferred but not required. These shows are performed with a mix of hand and rod puppets, mechanical rod puppets, glove puppets, and table top puppets mostly utilizing simple performance techniques that we can train performers on. Performers are also visible as the host of the show the entire time and must be comfortable being an actor/presenter as well.

-Must be comfortable interacting with clients on the day of the event

-MUST have regular access to a reliable vehicle. Please do not apply if you do not have a car. Shows take place throughout the 5 boroughs of NYC, and the surrounding areas. Additional travel stipends are paid for shows outside of Manhattan.

-Must have flexible availability for freelance work, primarily on week days, with some weekend work available as well.
