Gonzalo (The Animal Boy) :

Male, 50's, Latin immigrant, speaks English with a faint accent

He bears the recent loss of his wife with a stoic front, revealing glimpses of grief in fleeting moments. In the face of defeat or injustice, he shields his emotions with composed facades or sarcasm. Loyal, generous, with his family, but feels under appreciated. There are moments when his boisterous, authoritative side emerges, complementing his role as the boss of an engineering firm.

Jacob (the Narrator):

Male, 28, Latin, American born

Gonzalo's son. He works at the same company his father built. He feels unfulfilled, and possesses a vivid imagination but tends to be overly critical of himself. A deep thinker by nature, he has been hesitant to take decisive action, but on the verge of reaching a turning point.
