DESCRIPTION

Triple Promise Academy for the Performing Arts is seeking ADULT ACTORS to perform in our student written and directed one-act festival!!!

Time commitment is as follows:
Friday, February 13th from 4-6 pm - AUDITIONS
Friday, February 27th from 4-6 pm - Rehearsal
Friday, March 6th from 4-6 pm - Rehearsal
Friday, March 13th from 4-6 pm - Rehearsal
Friday, March 20th - NO CLASS
Friday, March 27th: SHOW DAY!!!
4-6 pm - TECH/DRESS
6-7 pm - Dinner Break
7:30 pm - SHOW TIME!!!!

Character breakdown is below. You must be able to commit to ALL of the dates above in order to perform in the show. We are looking for adult actors with a genuine love of education who are excited about the idea of empowering these passionate young artists!!! This is an unpaid gig; an opportunity to inspire the next generation of aspiring young theatre makers by taking their work and passion seriously. All of the plays were written and developed under the guidance of professional playwriting instructors; the plays are excellent and absolutely hilarious!!

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:

Play Title: "The Last Slice of Happiness," written and directed by 13-year-old Miguel Osorio
TONY: A man age 40s-50s. The owner of the pizza shop. A dreamer whose dreams are all overcooked.
JESS: A woman in her 30s. An employee of the pizza shop. A deadpan realist, allergic to hope.
RITA: A woman in her 40s. Tony's ex-wife. The voice of reason disguised as sarcasm.
MARCUS: A man in his 20s. Influencer. Loud, clueless, chasing views.
HEALTH INSPECTOR: A man ranging in age from 50s-60s. The man who ends up shutting the restaurant down.

Play Title: "Alien Encounter," written and directed by 9-year-old Noah Herusso
JAKE: A 22-year-old man. A YouTuber whose IQ is the same as a house plant
GWEN: A 23-year-old goth girl who has good humor and is Jake's roommate
STEVE: A 24-year-old man; a jock/bully who is secretly a softy
MINA: A 22-year-old woman; the life of the party; she is both Jake and Gwen's best friend
SIR QUIN: A really "nice" alien who is a servant to the alien queen ( He is 146,534 in alien years

Play Title: "Bloodlit," written and directed by 9-year-old Cadell West
ALEXANDER: A man in his late 20's; sometimes he is very dumb, but other times he is very smart
KIM: A woman in her 20's; gets scared very easily
CYNNER SINDRULOUS A> ZAKINDRALS: Nobody really knows anything about Cynner... but he is in his 20s
GILI: A 32-year-old man. He is a very, very, very lazy cop. He doesn't act brave and doesn't really do his job correctly.
GALE: The same as GILI, except she is a woman.

Play TItle: "You Just Don't Understand," written and directed by 13-year-old Kieran Lavin
ALEX: A 22-year-old guy who is trying to get through life
Micheal: A 30-year-old man; a defiant writer who finds reason everywhere
Alice: A 23-year-old woman; a famous actress who gets hate for no reason
Jim: A 50-year-old man who believes everything and still has hair
Hallucinations: The characters you see that are unnamed
NEWS REPORTER: A news reporter on 54 news. All ages and genders encouraged to audition.

Play Title: "The Substitute Teacher," written and directed by 9-year-old Samantha Epstein
MR. MAX: A man in his 20s or 30s, the new substitute teacher who is on his first day on the job as an undercover spy
