Job Title: Seasonal Company Manager
Location: Guild Hall, East Hampton, NY
Job Type: Seasonal / Full-Time (Summer 2025)
Reports to: General Manager of Performing Arts

Position Summary:

Guild Hall of East Hampton is seeking a proactive, highly organized Seasonal Company Manager (CM) to support our summer Performing Arts programming. Reporting to the Theater General Manager, the CM will serve as the primary liaison for visiting artists, oversee hospitality logistics, and ensure that all backstage and guest needs are handled with professionalism and care. This is an essential role in maintaining a welcoming and well-run environment for performers, crew, and partners throughout the season.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all visiting artists upon arrival in East Hampton, coordinating transportation to and from the Jitney, train, guest house, hotels, and Guild Hall.
  • Greet all guests upon arrival at Guild Hall’s guest house and assist the Facilities Director by tidying and preparing the space as needed for incoming visitors.
  • Act as the on-site artist liaison during all rehearsals, sound checks, and performances; remain backstage during programs to address any artist needs in real time.
  • Maintain backstage kitchen and dressing room areas, including inventory and restocking of supplies such as tissues, cups, utensils, beverages, and snacks.
  • Purchase, set up, and clean up all backstage hospitality items as outlined in artist riders.
  • Coordinate and book travel and lodging for artists and crew in collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Support the General Manager by assisting with the setup, execution, and breakdown of pre- and post-show receptions.
  • Support the Director of Operations and General Manager by assisting with theater and building/grounds rentals, ensuring a smooth experience for all parties.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for the day-to-day operations of the Performing Arts department, including other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in company management, artist services, or theatrical production (live performing arts setting strongly preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a service-minded attitude.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform light physical tasks related to hospitality and venue prep.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the East Hampton area.
  • A calm, professional presence in fast-paced, live event environments.

Work Schedule:

· The CM is an hourly, non-exempt seasonal employee

· Weekly Schedule: 35 hrs., Wednesday – Sunday. Hours will vary depending on program schedule, special events, and productions.

· Start Date: June 16, 2025

· End Date: August 31, 2025


Compensation:

· $18 to $20 per hour, dependent on experience
