Theater 2020 seeks a PSM and an ASM for its upcoming Equity Showcase-NYC production of A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart. This piano only version will rehearse at ART/NY South Oxford Spaces, 138 South Oxford Street, Brooklyn, and performances will be at The Mark O’Donnell Theater, 160 Schermerhorn Street, Downtown Brooklyn. David Fuller is directing, Judith Jarosz is choreographer, and Josh Cleveland is Music Director/Pianist.

First Rehearsal Monday, March 9, 2026. Rehearsals at ART/NY South Oxford Space through Friday, April 10 are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 6:30-10PM, Saturday 4-9PM and Sunday 2-7PM. Tuesdays are the DAY OFF except Monday is off opening week. Tech rehearsals at the Mark O'Donnell Theater, Saturday & Sunday, April 11 & 12, NOON-10PM; Dress Rehearsals Tuesday & Wednesday April 14 & 15. Opening Thursday, April 16. Sixteen performances, Thursday-Saturday at 6-10PM, curtain at 7PM, and Sunday 2-6PM, curtain at 3PM. Final performance Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Theater 2020, now in its 15^th season, produces under the Actors’ Equity Showcase NYC Agreement. Per union rules, the stage managers will receive a stipend. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to gain entry into the NY theater community – many of our artists have successfully moved forward in their profession, including Broadway, after working with Theater 2020.
