ABRAHAM FLEXNER (CAST) - Entrepreneur

MARY CHURCH TYRELL - Presents as female, 60s, black, civil rights heroine, well educated, compassionate

MARIAN ANDERSON - Presents as female, 40, black, world-famous singer unaware of her eventual place in history


THE HEART SELLERS

LUNA - Presents as female, 25 – 35, Filipina, open, friendly, gregarious soul

JANE - Presents as female, 25 – 35, Korean, newly discovering her journey in a new land


TAKE ME AMERICA

NOTE: Each role involves doubling or tripling (with exception of GARY)

GARY - Presents as male, 25, white, positive if tentative new immigration officer

MARSHA - presents as female, 45-55. The years and stories have tarnished her heart of gold.

FAN - presents as female, Chinese, lover of Wu. Must double as Honduran.

WU - presents as male, Chinese, rock star refugee with a painful past

MALITH - presents as male, 30s, black, plays refugees from Africa and Haiti

ZARA - presents as female, 30, Middle Eastern refugee, doubles as South American and Russian refugees


IN PLAIN SIGHT

ELIOT - presents as male, 50-60, white, gay, accomplished, successful, polished. Runs a privileged household.

ALAN - presents as male, 50-60, white, gay, accomplished, possessed a quiet undercurrent and a well-veiled secret

MAGGIE - presents as female, 25, black, daughter of Eliot but possesses a wider and more informed cultural worldview

CHARLOTTE - presents as female, 50, black, mother of Maggie, witty, fabulous, would give Vanessa Williams a run for her money

DAVID - presents as male, 25-32, white or Latino, a stranger with a secret
