Have you ever met an Egyptian God? How about the whole Panthe-ON?
Join Needs More Work Productions as they take you on a journey of ancient wisdom, forgotten stories and a whole lot of divine drama! This spicy, bold and colorful ensemble brings the ancient Egyptian pantheon back to life on the NYC stage. With songs from Cats, The Addams Family and many more, the ancient deities are ready to leave it all on the dance floor- maybe literally.
Said to “raise the bar for indie theater!”, Panthe-ON! 2.0 is a sequel to the 2-time BroadwayWorld Award winning Cabaret performed in January 2025.
We are seeking versatile and passionate singer-actors to create a night of enchanting vocals and mythical comedy. The ability to learn music independently is a must. We are also seeking one actor-emcee for the event (comedic ability required, minimal singing). Available roles include interpretations of Horus, Isis, Set, Geb, Tefnut, Thoth and Ammit The Devourer. These roles will be cast with a gender-expansive mindset and performers of all gender identities are encouraged to audition.
This event functions as a fundraiser for Anti-Gone, a reimagined Greek tragedy where audiences explore the mechanisms of democracy and create real-time activism plans. We are looking for performers who are willing to volunteer their time to support indie, BIPOC, Trans, Disabled and Immigrant led theater. Not you? No problem, follow us on Instagram at @needsmoreworkproductions for future casting calls!
Needs More Work Productions creates spicy, bold, and colorful theater for a better tomorrow. Specializing in site specific and immersive shows, we perform unique adaptations of beloved classics in New York City. Needs More Work Productions’ shows center themes of social activism, creating thought-provoking conversations directly between audience members and performers.
