DESCRIPTION

Casting performers and PSM for "Oz in the Amazon," a new musical that reimagines The Wizard of Oz with a vibrant journey through Brooklyn and South America. This family-friendly musical fuses Latin genres with pop and Broadway styles to create an unforgettable cultural and musical adventure. The production, developed by the award-winning FunikiJam family entertainment company, will be performed live Off-Broadway. FunikiJam has over 25 years of experience producing acclaimed interactive musicals, tours, and recordings.

Compensation is based on AEA Development Agreement weekly salary for union performers and AEA TYA weekly rates for non-union performers. Includes pension and health contributions, in accordance with Equity standards. Per diem, travel, and housing are provided for out-of-town, overnight travel to the Greater Boston area.

Harmony (Ozzie)

  • STAGE MANAGER Manage all aspects of stage operations during rehearsals and the workshop. Maintain a comprehensive prompt book, including blocking, cues, and production notes. Coordinate and communicate schedules, updates, and requirements with the creative team, cast, and crew. Call cues for lights, sound, and other technical elements during run-throughs. Oversee the setup and management of props, costumes, and staging elements. Ensure safety, professionalism, and a collaborative environment throughout the project. Document and submit daily rehearsal reports and production updates to the creative team. Qualifications: Experience as a Stage Manager in professional theater; familiarity with AEA contracts is required. Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. A positive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in family or interactive theater is a plus. Knowledge of or interest in immersive, musical, or educational theater is desirable. Project Details: Rehearsal/Workshop Period: March 23 – April 6, 2025. Location: NYC.
