No roles will be understudied. Actors of color are encouraged to submit.

Please prepare one Shakespeare speech appropriate to the production. Please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

SEEKING:
Track 1: King Duncan (and others)
Musician, Any gender, 40s/50s, any ethnicity. A competent leader and good parent. Begins the play shaken that the Thane of Cawdor, someone they deeply trusted, has betrayed them. As a musician, the beating heart of the production - a strong instrumentalist. NOTE: music will be crafted around this artist’s skill set.
Track 2: Malcolm (and others)
Any gender, 20s, any ethnicity. Child of King Duncan. Begins the play having fought in their first battle and ends it leading an army to reclaim the throne of Scotland. Movement, stage combat, or puppeteering background a plus. Vocal/instrumentalist a plus.
Track 3: Macduff (and others)
Male presenting, 30s/40s, any ethnicity. A warrior. Noble and intelligent, risks the safety of his family to stand against Macbeth. Movement, stage combat, or puppeteering background a plus. Vocal/instrumentalist a plus.
Track 4: Ross (and others)
Any gender, 30s/40s, any ethnicity. A trusting and loyal citizen. One of the last thanes to turn on Macbeth. Stage combat a plus. Vocal/instrumentalist a plus.
Track 5: Macbeth
Male presenting, 30s/40s A celebrated Scottish general, any ethnicity. Charismatic and noble, he has a deep sense of morality. To claim the throne of Scotland, he turns away from that identity for what becomes a path of psychological self destruction. Stage combat a plus.
Track 6: Banquo (and others)
Any gender, 30s/40s, any ethnicity. A celebrated Scottish general and close friend of Macbeth. Conceals their knowledge of Macbeth’s crimes for the promise of their family’s future. They protect their reputation and their family above all else. Movement or puppeteering background a plus, stage combat a plus. Vocal/instrumentalist a plus.
Track 7: *CAST* Lady Macbeth (and others)
Female presenting, 30s, any ethnicity. The ideal partner and hostess. Able to wear the mask of the gracious lady of the house while plotting cold blooded murder behind the scenes. She grossly underestimates how her crimes will compromise her peace of mind.
Track 8: Lady Macduff (and others)
Female presenting, 20s/30s, any ethnicity. As Lady Macduff, strong, witty, and protective of her home and family.
