HIRING: A1 (Audio Technician) Summer 2026
Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts, is seeking an A1 (Audio Technician) for the 2026 Summer Repertory Season. May 17 - August 29. Shows are Company, Fiddler on the Roof, and Come From Away.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and mix all live sound during performances, including managing wireless microphones and ensuring clear, balanced audio.
Program, edit, and execute sound cues in QLab, including sound drops and effects.
Conduct mic checks, troubleshoot audio issues, and maintain wireless mic systems throughout the run.
Work with Music Director from a sound standpoint to ensure the artistic integrity and technical quality of each production.
Manage and maintain audio equipment, including speakers, consoles, microphones, and playback devices.
Assist with load-in, tech rehearsals, and sound system setup for multiple repertory productions.
Qualifications:
Professional experience preferred (college experience excepted) as an A1 or Audio Engineer in live theatre.
Proficiency with wireless microphone systems, digital mixing consoles, and live mixing.
Strong working knowledge of QLab programming and operation and Yamaha TF5.
Ability to troubleshoot audio issues quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience mixing musicals and live performances preferred.
