Equity chorus dancers for roles in GUN & POWDER (see breakdown).


PREPARATION

Please wear clothing that you are comfortable moving in. Please wear sneakers or other footwear you are comfortable moving in. Please bring a hardcopy headshot and resume. You may be asked to stay and sing. Please bring a brief gospel, r&b, or song in the style of the show that shows range. An accompanist will be provided.

KINFOLK 1/SISSY US– Mid 20s-late 30s; Sister So-And-So at Church. She always leads the prayer. Makes the best peach cobbler. Strong powerhouse singer. Very comfortable with gospel runs. Full range, but primarily soprano voice. Very Strong mover and storyteller. Strong and Versatile dance skills a plus. Covers the principal role of SISSY.

KINFOLK 2/MARY/MARTHA US – Mid 20s-mid 30s; your favorite cousin, the one you can never be mad at, no matter how many times she gets you in trouble. Strong gospel singer. Comfortable with gospel runs: Large range. G3-F#5. Very Strong mover and storyteller. Strong and Versatile dance skills a plus. Covers the principal roles of MARY and MARTHA.

KINFOLK 3/FLO/TALLULAH US – Mid 30s-mid 40s; your Sunday School Teacher. Sweet, but in everyone's business. Strong gospel singer. Comfortable with gospel runs. Full range, but primarily alto voice. Very Strong mover and storyteller. Strong and Versatile dance skills a plus. Covers the principal roles of FLO and TALLULAH.

KINFOLK 4 – 30s-40s; Uncle Junebug energy; always on the grill at the cookout; makes the potato salad, but never takes the credit. Strong powerhouse singer. Very comfortable with gospel runs. High gospel tenor. Very Strong mover and storyteller. Strong and Versatile dance skills a plus.

KINFOLK 5/ELIJAH US – 20s-40s; that cousin who you're not sure if he's your uncle or your cousin; gave you your first shot of whiskey. Strong gospel singer. Comfortable with gospel runs. Large range. KINFOLK 6/ELIJAH US – Late 20s-late 30s; that uncle who tells the BEST stories, but you never know whether or not they're true. Strong gospel singer. Comfortable with gospel runs. TOWNSPERSON 2/FANNIE PORTER – 40s-50s; if "Lady Marmalade" went into retirement; she's an enigma, a haunting, and an aspiration; lives in the physical world and in the subconscious simultaneously. Strong, versatile singer. Comfortable with legit, belt and pop stylings. Large Range. F#3-G5. Very Strong mover and storyteller.

TOWNSPERSON 3/FANNIE PORTER US – 30s; spicy--spunky; always the first one at the party and the last one to leave. Strong, versatile singer. Comfortable with legit, belt and pop stylings. Alto voice.
