In this role, you will report to an Associate Guest Services Manager or Guest Services Manager. The position requires the ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to adapt within a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality roles in the entertainment, live events, theme park, and attractions sectors.
· Embody SUMMIT’s brand and service values in both internal and guest interactions.
· Act as a host by greeting and orienting guests as they enter assigned areas.
· Ensure the safety of guests while in assigned areas.
· Consistently display Guest Services training standards and enthusiastically create an unforgettable experience through personalized service.
· Provide a high level of guest service by engaging guests, answering questions, resolving issues, making thoughtful recommendations, and identifying opportunities to personalize each experience.
· Be knowledgeable of the SUMMIT One Vanderbilt brand and the tickets, products, and programs.
· Manage ticketing operations, including confirming entry times and ticket scanning.
· Assist in wayfinding, guest flow, and line management.
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of our guest services programs by providing feedback to management and participating in regular team development initiatives.
· Perform other duties as necessary or required by management.
· Escort and engage with guests while in Ascent, the exterior glass elevator, ensuring a positive and informative experience while monitoring guest safety and facility protocols.
· Perform wayfinding, guest assistance, and crowd management duties across multiple key locations, including outdoor areas and entry points, while maintaining high service standards in all weather conditions.
Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Prior experience in hospitality roles in the entertainment, live events, theme park, and attractions sectors.
· Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and perform well under pressure.
· Must possess a cheerful, professional attitude and a passion for guest service.
· Must have the capability to positively engage a diverse group of guests in a high-volume environment.
· Must be able to work independently and take initiative to solve problems, including tracking situations until an appropriate resolution is achieved.
· Ability to self-manage and self-motivate.
· Ability to follow directions and to be a team player.
· Must be comfortable with heights.
· Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.
· Must be available to work in the evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Ability and willingness to fill in where needed based on operational needs.
· This role requires team members to be on their feet most of the time.
· This position requires frequent communication with both guests and colleagues; must be able to exchange accurate and timely information in these situations.
· Proficiency in foreign languages is a plus.
