Disney Cruise Line® is conducting auditions for fleet-wide restaurant performers in New York City for immediate and future opportunities.
Seeking highly skilled and versatile performers with a strong background in musical theatre to portray roles from the animated features Frozen, Tangled, and Coco.
Disney Live Entertainment Talent Casting strives to represent the cultural and ethnic backgrounds of our diverse characters while continuing to maintain the embodiment and artistic spirit of these roles. We also aspire to create a more inclusive and accessible world by reimagining the way we tell stories and who tells them.
Rehearsal takes place in Toronto, Canada. A typical contract includes up to 8 weeks of rehearsal and 6 months onboard.
Contracts include competitive pay, travel, room and board – single performance cabin, guest sailing privileges, a significant contract completion bonus and some guest dining privileges. Toronto rehearsal period includes rehearsal pay, travel and lodging. Performance salary: $1000/week USD – negotiable.
ROLES:
HOOK HAND/RED - Male identifying Improvisational comedic actor, 20’s to 30’s as appears in the Disney animated feature, TANGLED. Actor must be able to sing, engage in guest interaction and perform comedic scenes progressing the evening’s storyline. Strong movement and improvisational skills is a plus. NOTE: Actor must be willing to shave head and be clean shaven for length of contract.
KRISTOFF - Male identifying improvisational and comedic actor, 18 to 30’s, to portray Kristoff as appears in the Disney animated feature, FROZEN. 6’-6’3”.
OAKEN - Male identifying improvisational and comedic actor, 20’s to 30’s to portray Oaken as appears in the Disney animated feature, FROZEN. 6’1-6’3”.
MIGUEL - Male identifying performer. 5’1” to 5’8”. 18-30, who can play teen, as appears in the Disney animated feature COCO. Miguel inherited his great-great-grandparents' love of music. He is a dreamer, wishing to follow his heart in singing and playing the guitar. Tenor voice range, strong acting skill, and ability to learn guitar are a plus.
ENRIQUE/HECTOR - Male identifying performer. Actor/Singer, 20s-40s, 5’9” to 6’1,” as appears in the Disney animated feature Coco. Enrique is Miguel’s father, who has worked in the family shoe shop his whole life. Hector is Miguel’s great-great-grandfather. Thanks to Miguel, he has been reunited with his daughter Coco and his wife Imelda. He wrote “Remember Me” for his daughter, COCO. Baritone/Bari-tenor, strong comedic acting skills.
ABUELITA ELENA/MAMA IMELDA - Female identifying performer. Actor/Singer, 30s-50s, 5’4” to 5’9,” as appears in the Disney animated feature COCO. Elena is Coco’s daughter and grandmother to Miguel. She is strong and extremely protective of her family. Imelda is Miguel’s great-great-grandmother, Hector’s wife. She started the family shoe business. She loves music but is quite stubborn. Family comes first for both characters! Alto or Mezzo, strong comedic acting skills.
