COMPANY MANAGER


RATE: $900 a week


DATES:

Contract Begins: March 2, 2026

Contract Ends: April 3, 2026



POSITION DESCRIPTION/ DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :


Seeking a COMPANY MANAGER for a new musical development happening in New York, NY.


Ideal candidates have passion for new works and are versed in the various aspects of commercial and developmental theatre. Candidates should be well organized, creative problem solvers, and have a good sense of dramatic irony.



RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including but not limited to the following)


  • Oversee daily operations of the company, including logistics, and schedules.


  • Weekly payroll, including deductions for agents, managers, unions and annuities.


  • Maintain accurate records of expenses, receipts, and petty cash; submit regular financial reports.


  • Serve as the main point of contact for venue staff, crew, and company members.


  • Manage company morale and resolve interpersonal or logistical issues as they arise.


  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and venue regulations.


  • Support the Stage Manager and General Manager with troubleshooting and problem-solving during rehearsals and presentations.


  • Lead and participate in company meetings, providing updates and addressing concerns.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:


  • Minimum 1 year of experience in managing people


  • Experience with payroll services, specifically Checks and Balances


  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.


  • Familiarity with budgeting, expense tracking, and reporting.


  • Comfortable with basic troubleshooting and hands-on support.


  • Strong team players who work well under pressure


  • Work collaboratively as a team member and maintain a positive attitude


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


  • The ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for extended periods of time (3+ hours), and navigate multiple levels of stairs.
