DESCRIPTION

Tabula Rasa Dance Theater (TRDT), led by Artistic Director Felipe Escalante, is seeking dancers experienced in Modern, Ballet, and Contemporary styles for “Un-Choreographed,” an anthology of dance featuring new work from choreographers of Latin American descent. Rehearsals will begin in May 2026, culminating in two performances at El Museo del Barrio’s Theater, El Teatro, on June 5th and 6th, 2026.

Prospective project dancers must be available for all scheduled rehearsals, tech days, and performances.

The project dates will include:

• Rehearsals in Manhattan on the following dates and times*:

  • Saturday 5/2- 12:30-3:30pm

  • Monday 5/4- 12:30-3:30pm

  • Tuesday 5/5- 12:30-2:30pm

  • Wednesday 5/6- 12:30-3:30pm

  • Thursday 5/7- 12:30-2:30pm

  • Friday 5/8- 12:30-2:30pm

  • Saturday 5/9- 12:30-3:30pm

  • Monday 5/11-12:30-3:30pm

  • Tuesday 5/12- 12:30-2:30pm

  • Wednesday 5/13-12:30-3:30pm

  • Thursday 5/14- 12:30-2:30pm

  • Friday 5/15- 12:30-2:30pm

  • Saturday 5/16- 12:30-3:30pm

  • Monday 5/18- 12:30-3:30pm

  • Tuesday 5/19- 12:30-2:30pm

  • Wednesday 5/20- 12:30-3:30pm

  • Thursday 5/21- 12:30-2:30pm

  • Friday 5/22-12:30-2:30pm

  • Saturday 5/23- 12:30-3:30pm

*Depending on casting, some dancers may be called EITHER:

• Monday/Tuesday, Friday 12:30-1:30pm and Saturday 12:30-2pm; OR:

• Wednesday/Thursday, Friday 1:30-2:30pm and Saturday 2-3:30pm.

Some dancers may be called all days.

• Full day of tech in the theater on the following date:

  • Friday 6/5- all day

• Performances at El Museo del Barrio’s Theater on the following dates:

  • Friday 6/5- 7:30pm

  • Saturday 6/6- 7:30pm

Compensation will include:

• Hourly rehearsal compensation of $17 per hour. Depending on casting, dancers will be called from 7.5 to 15 hours per week during the rehearsal process.

• A performance fee of up to $150 per performance. The theater tech will be included in the first performance fee.
