Music - Benjamin Balatbat Book & Lyrics - Kaleb Sells
We are looking for actors to fill the roles in the 54 Below Concert Premiere of Benjamin Balatbat and Kaleb Sells's new original musical, Blood Moon Manor, happening June 4th at 9:30PM!
Blood Moon Manor is a Horror Rock Musical depicting the story of young couple Roxy & Iman as they buy their first house. On their first night in their new home, a lunar eclipse reveals a treacherous curse on the house raising the spirits trapped within. The couple have the duration of the eclipse to help these souls find peace or they will join the spirits of all who died before them. Will the couple escape alive, or will the cracks in their own relationship lead to their downfall? Note: The show touches on heavy social topics such as elder abuse, child neglect, racism, misogynoir in medicine, depression, and addiction.

Submissions will close at 11:59PM Saturday, April 11th. We will reach out with callback offers by Friday, April 17th. The following roles are needed:
Roxy - 27, Femme Presenting, Any Ethnicity, Rock Soprano. Iman's partner. Rash, anxious, and tends to need to be in control of situations. Self-absorbed in many thoughts, but cares deeply for Iman and by the end of the show tries to become more compassionate and empathetic to Iman.
Ruth - 50+ to play 84, Femme Presenting, Any Ethnicity, Rock Alto. An older woman who died in the manor after struggling with isolation and neglect from her family after her husband's passing. A kind and sweet soul, desperate to be heard and treated as a person once more to find peace.
Eva - 32, Femme Presenting, BIPOC, Rock Mezzo-Soprano. A young woman who dies of a blood clot after giving birth when her father-in-law doesn't follow the birthing plan made while her husband was at a work conference. She holds rage for the misogynoir in medicine that led to her dismissed pains and the uncaught blood clot while mourning that she did not get to witness her daughter growing up. Passionate and intelligent, she doesn't find peace until Roxy promises to protect and speak up with and for Iman in her times of need.
Madelline - 18+ to play 11, Femme Presenting, Mixed BIPOC, Rock Alto. Eva's daughter who dies in the house when neglected by her grieving father and racist grandfather. Happy and cheerful, her goal in life was to make her father smile again after Eva died giving birth, which is unfortunately what led to her demise. Being noticed, found, and heard is the only way for Madelline to find peace in the manor's walls.
Matt - 28, Masc Presenting, Any Ethnicity, Rock Tenor. Found on the beach with no memories of who he was or how he died. Scrappy, passionate, reckless, his memories start to return when Iman shows him a locket of him and another man watching the sunset.
Ensemble - Any Age, Any Ethnicity, Any Gender, All Voice Parts. Casting 6-8 for the concert. In context of the show, play apparitions of the memories and forces of the ghosts, from doctors in Eva's scene, to jump-scares in Madelline's, to the overwhelming forces of Jason.
